Everything you need to know about Noblesville's Common Council Meeting on June 14th, 2022

Common Council meetings take place at City Hall (16 S 10th St, Noblesville, IN 46060)

New ordinances have a two-part process in the Noblesville Common Council. During the first meeting, the issue is presented and discussed. At the second meeting, the council votes on a decision.

The gravel pit issue is hitting the council’s agendas this month at Noblesville’s City Hall.

First Meeting (Presentations): 7PM on June 14th

Second Meeting (Vote/Decision): 7PM on June 28th

In person attendance speaks volumes, even to just watch. Auxiliary rooms down the second floor hallway will set up for viewing the meeting, too.

HOW TO PUBLICLY COMMENT:

  • Head to the second floor of City Hall to fill out a comment card before the meeting begins.

  • You’ll get 3 minutes to speak after the DLITB presentation is done.

HOW TO WATCH THE MEETING:

ORDER OF EVENTS:

  • The gravel pit will be the last agenda item.

  • The planning department will present first.

  • Petitioners present next (Beaver Materials/HamCo Parks)

  • Council Q&A

  • Public Comment period begins — DLITB rehearsed presentation goes first, all other public comments come after

  • A decision on the issue will be made at the second meeting on June 28th.

All that being said, it’s important to write to your common council members between now and the final meeting on June28th to urge them to vote “no” to the gravel pit. If you live in a city council district, you have a district member and 3 at-large members to contact.
